Raised by a herd of sheep in wolves’ clothing, Dave “Outta My Mind” Quiles learned about art the way anyone in his position would have done so- watching cartoons through the farmer’s huge living room window and sneaking into the MOMA in NYC when he turned 18. Or maybe he took art classes while getting a biochemistry degree in Wisconsin. It’s inconsequential, for he is doing it now and in a hardcore manner. Wooooweeeee!

His time is filled with working on any and all of the infinite crazyprojects that range from children’s books to animation to furniture and lighting designs. He constantly seeks ways to reinvent common things in new and kinetic ways. His character design is mostly based on mythology, folklore, and robots, but he doesn’t censor himself much so anything is possible. He has a clean and funny style, sometimes making a statement about life or human nature. Sometimes he just puts imps in pickle jars. Talk about funny!
